Questions about sp_delivery

Postby DeXt3R » Mon Aug 08, 2011 8:55

Hi guys, some few days ago when i was playing on ps3 map Special Delivery, some1 told that allies shoot to 'room' where is flag, dunno if he call it SC or SK, but i wanna to hear ur opinion about it. Here is picture:

On red i marked examples where are axis players.

So now my questions:
1. If allies shoot there is it SC/SK?
2. If axis camp there is it SC?
3. Shooting there rifle nades/sniping is allowed or not?

Rulebook wrote:Sniping and shooting (for example; Rifle Nades) into a capturable spawn from a distance is considered SK or even SC, since you are not trying to (re)capture the spawn yourself (i.e. not moving forward)!

Imo, this isnt capturable spawn(it is :D, but axis dont spwan there...), so my answers:
1. It isnt.
2. Its camping but no SC :P
3. Allowed, coz they dont spawn there!

I think it's sc. but do not say it's sk because the axis does not start there :D

If there's a flag/commandpost then it's never sc/sk unless hw is used. And since it's not a spawn point for axis - everything is allowed.

But after the allies capture it, all the flag-rules will apply.

Even without flag, the map design make it a particular case : you have to defend here.

Anyway, no one spawn here as allies don't capture it, so no sk or sc before this point, and no heavy weapons on this room from axis if allies capture the flag before the dyna blows the wall since then the capturable spawn rule applies.

My two cents, wait for admin answer imho.

Edit : oops, see above :p

Even if the wall blows up it's still possible to capture the flag.

yep.. its fixed after construction completed (the door opening stuff generator thingy)
but think even this depends on version

In the first step of the map, the Allies have to gain control of the forward bunker. I don't see a real problem why heavy weapons shouldn't be allowed in this step, because neighter Axis nor Allies are spawning there. The same applies for Rifle Nades - shooting from distance and hiting someone through the balcony window isn't easy. However, i would never warn someone because the gameplay itself isn't impaired.
In the second step of the map, when the Allies are trying to build the Door Controls, the Axis can recapture the flag (Allies forward spawnpoint) until the Door Controls have been constructed. After that, the spawn is fixed and the Axis have to avoid the Allies spawn area.

agree with tomsen, since noone is spawning on that flag, it ain't considered as spawnkilling or spawncamping (on a temporarely spawnpoint, what's not the case) with heavy weapons f.e.

 shooting to flag / from flag allowed, it ain't SK, neighter SC
 shooting with sniper / heavy weapons from / to the flag allowed, it ain't SK, neighter SC as well

We have the rule about capturable spawns. Untill we don't use HW, we can kill enemies there to capture it or defend against them. It was talking a lot of times.
Don't make the rule more complicated then it is atm 8)
