Watching demo's

Postby lazy-lion » Mon Mar 08, 2010 15:47

Heyooo,

I have a problem. ;)
I can't watch demo's, and I don't know why I can't. :(
Everytime when I try to watch a demo with NoQuarter mod I get an error. :(
It says Wolfenstein: ET has crashed.. :O.
So, could you please help me?
Thanks.

PS. (For wuju) Removing NQ 1.2.5 files didn't help ;)

Regards, Lazy-Lion.

you mean windows closing program with et.exe error?
Well in NQ 1.2.7 is a bug with watching demos. Delete 'nq' folder where is only 1.2.7 mod. And You must be sure you have another NQ version 1.2.x than you can opn et.exe and in mods select No quarter ofc. Dont forgot your demo must be located in directory where it was made.

i wouldnt start to delete nq 127 files as they shouldnt cause any problems with demos. nq 127 is in totally different folder and has nothing to do with watching demos made in 125 or lower.

for example if your demo was taken in PS#1
it should be in ../noquarter/demos
then if it causes problems better remove nq125 files from noquarter folder(as you already did)
then connect to PS#1 before watching demos and then disconnect
after that demos should work
if you still have problems, maybe too much crap in your nq folder or wrong demo or something...

ofcourse with demos made in nq 125 you need 125 files in your noquarter folder, and you should connect to server running 125
best option is the same server where demo was made

this is the way it should work
just to point out... nq 127 has NOTHING to do with watching nq125(or lower) demos, as far as i know.
ofc if you putted your demos in right folder at all :P

while loading mod NQ means 127 and noquarter means older versions

logical post once again... sry
Image thx for diamond :D

remove all pk3. files in C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\noquarter

then go to server where the demo is from, and downlaod all stuff

then disconnect (or restart et and load noquarted mod) and play demo (which is placed in C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\noquarter\demos

but, try searching with keywords like "demo" on the search button :P
