Demo Controls

Postby GokuSan » Mon Jan 18, 2010 21:02

Found nothing in search under "demo controls".

As I'm on a laptop, I don't have those KP keys, so I actually can't use the standard demo controls while watching one.
Is it possible in any way to change these controls?

Set b_predefineddemokeys to 0, then bind the controls to other keys.

Don't you have on the laptop keyboard the "Fn" key so you can use it to access the num pad numbers?

Look at this pic of the laptop keyboard: http://www.tips4pc.com/images/laptop_keyboard.JPG

Notice the NumLk key on the upper right (next to F12), the LEDs on the top and the Fn key on the bottom left (next to Ctrl). Then notice the J, K, L, U, I, O, ... keys. They have the small number below. This can be used as a num pad when holding the Fn key. If the NumLk LED (the first one) is lit, then you write the number 2 with the "Fn + K" keystroke. If the LED is off, you simulate down arrow.

I don't know what mode you really need to control the demo, but I think, it might help.

Don't forget to set b_predefineddemokeys back to 1 before trying this :)

you could use /timescale to speed up or slow down. lowest possible value is 0.1, 1.0 being normal speed of c.
