Problem with specific map (Canyon_depths)

Postby Sjiro » Wed Oct 26, 2011 12:46

Let's just cut straight to the problem. In the PS #1 rotation there's one specific map that keeps disconnecting me for some strange reason (Canyon_depths). The following screen pops-up after I dc'd.

Now I did do as told in the text below the error. I used the hunkmegs command to increase it to 128. Despite all that I keep getting the same old error over and over again. I even checked the .cfg files to see if hunkmegs were at 128 and everything is set the way it should be.

Anything I can do to be able to play this map?[/img]

Try hunkmegs 256, as it is written while the map is loading

Well, you are few to meet some FPS problems while others (including me) have no problem in this map, hard to say why exactly.

There was someone with a 560ti who had these issues, so I don't think thats the problem.

com_hunkmegs is a setting for ram, not gfx-card. And i think it also depends on the CPU.

I have the same problem.
I've tried to set hunkmegs 256, 512 and 1024 , but it still disconnects me. I had this problem before with transmitter map.

i found a reason of this fps drop on that map, so i found solution.
its low soundmegs you have, probably set to 2x,

the fix is to change it to fe. 64, so command is: /com_soundmegs 64
remmber you have to do it both in etmain and nq profile,

Hi, there's also a possibility to set soundmegs up to 180 in: Menu -> NQ menu -> TWEAKS.
But setting by there won't stay in all situations, so better to do changes in folders.

:)
Cheers
