suprise surprise - MOD change

Hello PS5 Players


PS5 last days empty.. maybe of good weather, maybe of vacancies, maybe of lack of players / members / admins.

i used this emptiness as chance to bring up a new mod for test.

i know such a change should normly be done after talking with the remaining regulars as we could read on some reactions in ps2 forum.

but here we got another case - i dont take away the only NQ server, we still got ps1-ps3 with nq 1.2.3 and 1.2.9 for people that are "completely sticky" to it.

n!tmod is barely known inside -|PS|- and i just ask you to give it a try at ps5.
settings can be changed by request, but my opinion is that settings dont decide about success of a server.

but for those who miss some special things.. try out before judging, or ask what is possible.

edit some infos:
- dj specific on map like before
- go ESC - N!tmod - HUD to "enable" ur teammate names to prevent tk in dark corners
- spawntimes atm original map- default
- few more XP needed to gain next skill - level
- press F to kick airstrike canister (no more 'kick')
sometimes you lose - sometimes the others win

Nitmod is like fusion of ETPro and Jaymod. Not reallly bad choice. Since I like this mod. ;)

ok so far things i noticed that changed:

- Allies got panzy and fg42 instead of bar and bazoooka
- Bots are nice as you can join an empty server and just play allthough you can easily win from them still nice :D
- naaaabs tell me hitboxes are like etpro i cant tell never play pro :D
- Only need 4 lvls per class now but they need more exp per lvl (shame you cant see how much exp to next lvl)
- More stats shown in bot right corner and when you press tab.
- Teammates cant run over allied mines anymore they will blow you to pieces :D allthough for mystical reasons team bots can run over them
- Delayed revive sux a bit :D i liked the older revive better.
- You cant needle a person with low hp anymore now you must tk him or heal him with med packs.
- You can now file a complaint against tk. I dont know if few complaints gets you auto kicked or something? but its a bit sucky if your engy and teammates run on mines and if they are emo they press f1 and you'll get kicked. Or on a normal tk people can complain (option can be abused easily :P).
- NQ kick removed (poison i dont know havent lvled covy but i think its gone to).
- chat now has a timer on dyna explosions.
- New voice for double kill etc (liked the older one more though :D)
- Cant change the kill messages into weapon symbols anymore

I guess its a nice mod but it misses the funny elements of NQ :P but if this is what ps5 needs to be resurrected then so be it

- weapons more "back to the roots" but medic, engi, fieldops are able to choose between mp40 or thompson
- bots will learn soon to own you better
- the head-hitbox is g_realhead 1 .. same a etpro.. body i dunno
- low-hp-heal-by-needle i will add (with next server- restart)
- poison possible with level 4 light weapon (healable with medic syringe)
- no kick here, ya.. so last discussion about power is done
- for fun element.. the lvl 5 engi can use a "bomb"... lets see what this bomb brings and is able to do
- skill levels for each class "100 250 500 1000 2000" -- default is something with "50 100 200 300 400" ... i dunno anymore exactly
- no complaint - consequneces afaik
- landmines cannot be tripped anymore by all teammates (human and bots) BUT they can hurt you if you are near them and enemy tripps it... (like before on NQ) (with next restart)

so far for now.. thx for feedback..

nice mode. I liked it.
mines are overpowered. 1 mine takes out medic with full hp and you wont get message that you are next to landmines.

edit:
if you keep those settings or modify a bit then this will be only ps server where I'll play.
+ decent mappool
I rly liked that you can choose which map you want to play next
and grass @ radar = fps lag

abouth sets: only one piss me off ... long respawn time :S a tad shorter ?

for first i let damages as default.. me as engi-lover likes powermines :D
more it has to be said, that with growing skill- level the damage will be reduced. (OK, atm no carryover for engis flagjacket :D )
some settings will be modified (like i said above: healing with syringe or mines immune against teammate-steps) .. map-pool still depends on map suggestions.

well. that are the original that the map-makers imagined as fair spawntimes.. now you see what lucky times you had before on servers :D
ok, maybe a bit shorter, but this time not the same for both side (it was 18sec for each team all the time before).. better longer respawn time for defender to keep relation.
maybe 21-14 instead of 30-20 (just as example.. )

1. I don't want/like to set my settings back. (Not really about the mod just pointing out how annoyed i am about it)
2. I don't like the map in the South-West corner.
3. Reminds me much of ETpro... Which i don't like. (Don't answer to this one please)
4. I don't like that the weapons are spread so much. (With that i mean like Medic can also have a sten and a Mp40 for example)
5. Neither that my binds are gone and so on. (Again not really about the mod just pointing out how annoyed i am about it)
6. And that the XP is gone.
7. And why can i join Axis when there is 5 there and 3 on allied team? :roll:

1- binds / conifg / settings can be imported from another modfolder
just note that mouse2 is used with attack2 instead of weapalt (or vice versa?)

2 - compass i didnt check, but since i know u can switch it from lower corner to upper corner in jaymod, it could be possible here, too.. check HUD menu maybe.
3 - not allowed to answer
4 - sten for medic is for this MOD possible, but is NOT enabled.. u just can chose between mp40 and thompson.. but dunno who should be unhappy with that feature
5 - see point 1
6 - yep, shit happens
7 - g_balancedteams 1 is added to server and should work on next restart - then u cant join the bigger team anymore...

etpub u wont have more fun, believe me.. i know etpub.. you obviously not ;)

spy, you are one of the most active regulars of ps5 and i respect your opinion of gameplay and how you feel there now.....
but give it rly a try.... collect some xp, gain some skill - level and it wont be so hard as it looks at the moment...
ok right now its not funny to play there since many experienced players online to try it out and those kick your **** all time , hehe
swim with the big fishes and learn.. then u soon will smell like them, too :D

rifle is waaaaaaaaay to overpowered
I had acc 50 in baserace with k43. those hitboxes are so big with k43/garand. im shooting from one side to another side of a map and I kill 3 guys and they can't hit me and I hit every single bullet.

ye rifle and mines are too strong, else i kinda like it. maybe also add 10 or 15 maps like before to the vote-system, instand of 5.
