well, here's my first nab movie attempt, made it last sunday and brushed it up a bit today: lis_tinymovie_x264.mp4
139mb, 5 mins, 848x480, x264, FAAC, 25fps
- all frags are from vo or psc wars (2on2, 3on3 and 6on6)
- mostly 3on3 smg 3kills and some 6on6 spam runs (my new hobby xD)
- only used frags against clans, no random lowmix opponents, so don't expect too much pwnage xD
- would have liked to capture at 100 fps and render at 30, but dont have enough hd space (so it's 30/25 for now).
it's quite hard to make an ok movie if you got tempo in your clan^^, but hope you enjoy it anyway. maybe i'll make a proper one after some more practice.
got tons more unused footage, so i'm always editing around - a second clip is coming soon.
thx to downtempo for hints/tips.

A really great tinymovie. I loved the music, it maybe didn't really match with the game, but it matched the whole movie. I can't describe it, but excellent music pick.
I loved the spec, the angles, loved the slow motion pictures, especially the panzer scene, auch
I didn't get the feeling of superior expertise with the aiming. It was more like anyone could do that. (I'm talking about the first player shooting scenes) You get some hs, but it's not all HS and I get the feeling of some lack of experience and the HS are mostly luck. That's just the feeling I get, I know you guys have much experience and would with a good chance pwn me on 1 vs 1 :i...
But all in all 9 out of 10 stars Lisa, one of the best ET movies I've seen so far.

yes, i'm an awful aimer, at least for pro standards
that's why i spam play in 6on6 xD
but thx for your encouraging comments about the clip ammz <3
EDIT: yeah the smg scenes are obviously about the multikills ie. cleaning out the entire opponent team in a 3on3.
HS are overrated in that sense and single kills with 3hs are nothing movieworthy (unless you kill someone überfamous - which nobody here would recognize anyway). besides, dunno if you ever played etpro or play it much, but the headbox is not really comparable to the NQ box, it's tiny and in etpro wars you usually don't get sitting ducks or people who run straight at you like on a pub. so being a lowskill etpro player i'm more inclined to use a few bullets extra and actually get the kill(s).
but you're right, i might put some clean HS singlekills in my next clip, for added sexyness

I'm old ET player and I've played pretty much everything, NQ, etpro, pub, shrubet, but never jaymod, which I find strange imo.
I never liked etpro when I played it, always against some pro etpro players and I got pwned. But I liked it, in the sense you don't have double jump and you really must have a 100 % control of your movements if you want to survive. This I find challenging. So I'm lowskill etpro player, very lowskill. But I think I might soon go and play some more etpro... just to, train my aim

(lis did not use etpro for the avi capturing tho. There's this UVmoviemod with some extra possibilities, like take off pickups from popups, or show only your own kills etc.)
Anyway lis! This was clearly better than the first version. Future seems bright :XD!

yeah it's b_altHud 1 (alternative ETPro hud) and if althud is at 1, you can use b_altHudFlags 4 to put the popups in the top left corner. i also use this in my in-game config.
and yes, those 5-6 kill sprees were captured with UVMoviemod so that i can show my own frags only (got too messy otherwise).

yeah we've tried to collaborate somehow, the only problem is that the raw data is so big that we'd have to send each other stuff on HD's, so it's logistically difficult unless you can work together irl. we've tried to do stuff like me doing the camera traces, but unfortunately tempy uses another cam scripting prog so we can't even send our cam scripts to each other! but who knows, tempo might get off his lazy ass and learn the prog i use - cause it's far superior after all

you don't have the x264 codec to play the file - 90% of all fragmovies are made with this codec so it's about time you got it try using VLC player which has the codec built-in, or alternatively download the full k-lite codec pack and use media player classic. i suggest you get the k-lite codec pack as it contains pretty much any codec you'll ever need.
