Lately i notice some overwealming devotion from some admins. Shuffleing during game play, putteam etc.

I thought i might share and exchange some oppinions about server administration. Im not trying to play smart here, neither do i want to tell u guys what to do, you own it , not me.

I would like to discuss some matters, afterall discussion is a two way learning proccess.

On my previous venture, i had some rules(more like guidelines) about administration on the servers. They went like:

1. Defenders must always have the extra player, means if allies is defending and allies has one player less, than this extra player in axis must be suggested to switch or if an admin is around he must switch.

2. Admins always switch to the weaker team.

3. Putteam should be used only when somebody is afk, or u want to f... around with another admin. Between admins everything is allowed. Players have the freedom to choose their team. They decide what side they want. If teams are way uneven, use a shuffle.

4. Shuffle shoud be used as a last resort, it may be used freely during map start(when players start switching). But shufflein during game frustrates most players. I would recommend to do a restart after ingame shuffle.

5. Slaping , and generally admin abusive commands. To be used regulary on a.holes, i.e teamkillers, cheaters, or verbal sewers.

6. If a player is regulary afk, and not joining specs. Warn, kick. If u have more than 6-7 spec, warn them, tell em to join. If not "!kick rammy need room". They take up space and server utilization.

7. Snitches, or guys that report everything to the admins. These are wanabe admins and they should be treated as normal players. Nothing special for them. If they get to loud or busting ur balls, mute em. As more attention u give to those guys the more they tell u what to do and command u around.

8. Teamswitchers, those guys always switch to the winning team. Warn them, if they do it frequently kick.

9. Whiners, those guys that mock about everything, i dont like this he pushed me around, girlie stuff. Warn(stop whining , !crybaby), mute,unmute,kick.

10. Farmers, warn once. !fling, !launch, !gib, !poison, !kick

11. Players with names like Naz. or Hit...., or Neg... or any racist influence in their name. Perma BAN.

12. Admins with Humongous Genitals Level, cand bent any of the above.

13. Admins with small genitals get demoted if they abuse players, or swear or get personal to a player(this goes for any word, from idiot-ashole to f... you) without reason.

14. Rules can be bent also for regular players or clan friends, or friend clan-members.

These are some of the guidelines we had for the admins.

Does something like this exist for PS?

You guys have guidelines, on how to treat players, cheaters etc?

Hello, the things ure describe above (Shuffleing, putteam.) are not used during gameplay by admins to foularound. they are used only if necessary.

The 1,2,3,... dots you point out above very similar to those we use at PS.
But also as its said, guidelines are guidelines, players and admins "understands" them different.
Some rules are obvius clear and can´t be taken wrong.

Ok I tell something about ur guidelines.
1. WRONG imo. It should be that attackers have always one more, so map goes more smoothly. for exsample railgun.

2. I usually go there where are people I know. If its losing team, I go there.
And I normally hate to defend, so I usually take attacking team, loosing or not.

3. lets think that there are 9vs11 and map is half way over. I first request if someone wants to go there and if not, I'll put someone. Also if I use putteam command its normally just afk players spec. Goofers and idiots are warned, gibbed and kicked. Later permbanned.

4. Depending how people say, I usually shuffle at the end of map or at the start of map. NEVER at the middle. It ruins game.

5.Like said at 3., I use them to idiots etc. But using slap and burn are useless commands to me. Gib is almost everytime the best choice. that scares them enough.

6. Only kick people from spec if server is 2-0 way from full. AFKs are always putted spec as soon as its possible, but usually not kicked.

7. "wanna-be" admins usually help us to find provokers when we are not present. Althou if we ARE present and people start warning others, leave it to us.

8. SO WHAT? let them think that they are good. U know that they are puny losers.

9. Whiners are annoying, but sometimes they have point like teams are uneven (6vs12). But in time, all whiners get what they deserve.

10. Farmers same as U say. Not throwing thou. just warn, gib, warn, gib, kick.

11. Names are usually just renamed. like tag stealers. Thou if they keep coming and having it, permanent ban.

12. Ofc not.

13. We usually dont choose those kind of members. They might have bad day or other reason, but if abusers are found, kick away from PS as early as possible.

14. Its hard sometimes, but rules are same for everyone.

Ecery admin has his own guideline. This is mine. And when cheaters come server, first take proper demo and IMMEDIATELY BAN.

Ur guideline is maybe bit harsh but pretty same as mine.

Um!!?? Im not talking about players rulebook.

I am talking about how the philosophy(very nice greek word) is about administration.
And of course they are guide-lines, means that ur not obligated to do it, but recommended. Only if u want u will do it.

Looks like Goldenbullet and me share the same oppinions.
Oh goldenbullet when i say that admin with humongous genitals can bent the rules means that, they dont have to warn, or slap but instead take immediate action if they want. I dont mean that they can do what ever they like, for example get personal or say thing about somebodies mother( I saw an PS admin do that lately, was last week, and i wont tell who it was).

And for the last point, about friends and regulars. Of course the same rules apply, but some high admin can give them a seconds chance if he thinks so.

And something i forgot to mention is that
the bare bone principle we had was:
If an higher admin is around, than the lower admins should suggest him something and not take drastic actions themselves.

Im trying to find out more about this clan, i just connect to your servers lately(And kill Gewinner from the back, lol) and nowhere else.
