Hello!

I have problem with PB, since new PB was launched, ppl get disconnected for PB time out..(PB kicks them for inactivity).


That wouldn't be a problem, if that wouldn't happen on every map change!
I tried PB FAQ, PB support..but nothing. I am searching for cmd to extend time before PB kicks them for inactivity(it seems to me that they do not connect fast enough)..but i failed so far.

I would really apriciate, if someone with that knowledge could help me.

And i cannot afford to turn off PB since we had bad expirince in past (cheaters). But if this keeps on being a problem i have to shutdown PB.

Fuk if u don't find solution (imo i just know the thing "delet ur pb folder and reinstal) we'll try do shut pb a while to see how it goes...

But maybe the message that u have is just a "hidden message" to reveal us that u r a cheater !!!

Why does PunkBuster kick me for INIT FAILURE?

Usually, this message means your PB is not working properly. You should run our PBWEB program to make sure your PB is up to date.
However, we have recently discovered that some broadband routers routinely drop OOB (Out of Band) packets for no apparent reason. Since all PB packets are OOB, these routers can actually block PB's communication (again for no apparent reason). To determine if the router is the cause of this problem for you, remove the router and connect directly to the internet. If you are able to play this way, then the cause is very likely the router.
Based on user feedback, the following router brands/models are reported to have problems. Not necessarily all models of a brand might be affected, and the list is in no way complete but it can give you a few hints. Also, we do not claim that our list below shows the only solution to fix your issue, nor that it will fix it for sure even though it has worked for others. It could very well be that changing some settings in your router could help as well. Contacting the company directly might help you as well.

* Linksys - possible solution: Use firmware 1.44.2
* Motorola - possible solution: Update to latest firmware
* Netgear - possible solution: Disable SPI (statefull packet inspection)

- Let players read our FAQ
- Let players manually update their pb > pbweb.exe
- Let players set; /pb_cl_enable (so corrupted pb installs can update)
- Let players set; /pb_sleep 500


edit:
- Norton Virusscan and Firewall (internet security) can cause problems: uninstall Norton > update PB > reinstall Norton
- Zonealarm can cause problems: Turn off zonealarm before starting up ET or put ET.exe in the TRUSTED zone (see zonealarm config)
- Nvidia videocards can cause problems: download the newest drivers
- Virusses, Spyware & Adware can cause problems (duhh): Run a virusscanner, spywarescanner etc.

I hope that ppl will listen to you and maybe try your suggestions what to do

I know..but i hope it works anyway. I hate losing ppl because of PB.
PB is good for cheaters..and bad for regular ppl

I regularly manually update PB..it helped me in the past..so i personaly don't have issue with PB ( the BIATCH )

And if problem persists..we will then shutdown PB for a week or so just to test what happens.
