Dying pc?

Postby Damelon » Sat Apr 04, 2009 10:31

hey, i have a very big problem now -_-
somehow since a week programs uses 6x more memory then standard so my pc is slow like hell, like ET uses normally 150-170k memory...mine uses 600 so ill have low fps (20-30)
another problem is my pc lately reacting on keys ( 1 sec delay ) so if i press w its appears on the monitor 1 sec later.
i already talked with mill about this he said i need to update my GB + MB
i already did it...nothing happens...my pc is dying? or just something isnt okay there? :S heeeeeelp

If you are using windows you should try reformating your harddrive.
This, however, is a harsh solution.

Are you sure you dont have viruses causing this?

How old is your PC? Or maybe the fan is broken and it overheats (wild guess)

Maybe our web-monkey can help you better.

I would try to change the ram...maybe try to find one with one of your friend.
I hope you'll fix it soon.

You could check your RAM:
http://www.memtest86.com (u need to burn it on CD and boot from it)

Is your CPU also quite busy all the time?

This "keyboard delay" is a little bit strange... :?

I've had sort of same problem about 2-3 years ago.

Our computer was only 3-4 years old and it started to make more noise and go slower. We never found out the problem. My sister has the computer now. We've tried everything. deleted every program cleaned all.
we reformated it and still it doesn't work fine. We even reinstalled complete running program and windows but it still sux.

So prepare for the worst. maybe someone can fix it.

I pray for your comp :)

Dame...if you havent problems with virus, space in hard disk, lets see:
1) what processor do you have? and how much time do you have this processor?
2) How much memory do you have? is ddr or dd2? is 1st mark? sometimes happen, you need change the memory (RAM)
