new computer - new settings

Postby Olli » Sat Feb 06, 2010 11:19

today i finally received my new PC.
:D

(2.0 GHz AMD, 128MB Graphics and 1GB RAM was out of the question.)

Now:
Intel i5 with 4x 2.66 GHz, ATI Radeon 5850 with 1024MB and new DX11-support, 8GB RAM, and so on.

Sure, that is enough to play the actual games, but i can´t leave ET, i guess...

I would appreciate if you could give me advices, how to modify my settings now.
I think, more power deserves better hitrates etc.

What would you do? :?:

seta com_hunkMegs "1024"
seta com_zoneMegs "48"
seta com_soundMegs "48"
seta com_maxFPS "125"
seta r_intensity "1.2"
seta r_textureMode "GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR"
seta r_picMip "0"
seta r_depthBits "32"
seta r_textureBits "32"
seta r_colorBits "32"
seta r_mapOverbrightBits "2.4"
seta r_subDivisions "1"
seta r_lodbias "0"
seta r_finish "1"

something like this and if you have a big monitor too then also

seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customHeight "1200"
seta r_customWidth "1920"
seta cg_fov "120"

i'll later give link to some screenshots with these settings ^^

I'm afraid that she can't reply to you since she have been away for a long time now. By the way what kind of settings are you looking for ?

oh, sorry. I paused for few months too.
;)

well, it´s about the config-settings for NEW Computers with a FAST Connection.

Now, i´m up to date (new computer and 32Mbit/s), and i don´t need to "downspeed" anything...
Yesterday on the first try, my ping was between 8 and 10.

Perhaps there are some "max-values" for my internet-, fps-, or packets-settings?
Something that helps hitting the better players... *gg*
