sound doesn't work

hello
i got a little problem with my pc,
my sound always worked perfect but now since 2 days it's gone.
don't work on my headset but also not on my boxes.
i really don't know how to fix it,
it asked that new hardware was trying to install but it couldn't find the right things

any ideas how to get it back?

Did u try to download new drivers for your soundcard?

Give me more info about your PC, motherboard, soundcard.. ill try to find sth

Did u check system settings? maby u turned on Mute somewhere??

How it look like when u check your soundcard in harvare management?

Maybe do a system restore ... it sometimes helps.

1. Click Start.
2. Point to All Programs.
3. Point to Accessories.
4. Point to System Tools.
5. Click System Restore.
6. Follow the instructions on the wizard.

i did the restore like you said viduus and that worked:D
