decent changes on ps1

for those who didnt notice:
following changes were done on ps1

mapvoting enabled
after every map you are able to vote for the next map to be played
if a nextmap poll passes you will go to intermission to vote for the next.
at the moment there is a mappool with 19 maps that can be seen here
a map has to be 10 maps 'old' before voteable again.
so 9 maps are visible in intermission. well .. at the moment only 7.. dunno why^^
if noone votes for a map, the next one will be played by 'hidden rotation'

feel free to suggest new maps for the mappool in map suggestions

bots
the bots are now a bit 'stronger' in aiming and reaction. good luck

default-settings
every new map bots go back to normal gameplay. so players need to enable botwar again if needed.

nice, well done :good: but imo u should add a lot of more maps to vote from, arond 40 maps would be nice :)

Then suggest more maps :) Otherwise, I like the changes as well. Maybe bots are a bit too strong, but we shall see.

should be the most populair maps. i don't like each of them obviously but ye, would add them all to have a varity of changes. imo give a possibility to vote between 8-10 maps and make it possible to repeat a played map after 6-8 times, something like that, but can still see anyway how it goes and just adjust it :)

nice suggestions :good:

i would like to see a 3-points voting system too, so the players can choose the map that they would like to play most and can vote too for the maps they can deal with, so we get the most loved map with that point system

In economics there is a theory called “The Paradox of Choiceâ€￾. It states that increasing the number of choices will improve the user experience, but only ultil a certain point. After that point the added choices will not only be indifferent to the user, but they might also become counterproductive.


Less choice = more satisfaction!

Imo the actual amount of maps is fine, we still should keep the rotation idea; a selection of maps, now players can just pick which they want to play at a certain moment!

If 60 map in map voting system, then give me 2-3 min to pick 1 :) 30 sec is not enough for that kind of situation XD
And what about dj off ? Many maps just make no sense with dj

i understand your point, but imo i think we didnt reached that certain point...

An example: Yesterday we got a vote with 3 maps which all got 2 votes and the first map on the list was selected. The 4 people which voted for the other maps left after the first map loaded and the server became empty. If we have enough players for votes than the 1 point system is no problem, but in cases like that the result will be that the server wont fill up and stays empty. I know that we will allways have players that dont like the new voted map and quit, but i think thats the best way to give a clear result on voting with a small amount of players, just to make clear people can deal with next map. No one have to vote all three maps if the vote is allready clear, but in cases its not it will probaply help.

The other thing with the 60 maps in vote system, shall not mean that we can vote all at the same time, it rather should give the players just a bigger variety on possible maps for voting. i think icy mean to give the players a little choice around 15 maps for their vote and not the whole mappool with around 50 maps!

maybe just make a poll about this topic....

i agree to disable it on specific maps, like supply, delivery, fueldump, venice.. + many many others.. and its no problem to do it simple in mapconfigs...

From my experience +30 maps makes PS#1 lag a bit. No one is waiting for that ;).

great we got the voting system on now:D
so we can finally choose between alot more maps,

only 1 thing, maybe lower the power of the bots

bots end map with average of 3 hs a kill last night
you cant even shoot or youre dead most of the time :lol:

I like the new bots, they should be inhuman xD. Now you must shoot and hide, challenge is good.

Yes, only concerning specific maps. Put dj off permanently would be mistake.

Hey guys,

the amount of maps in mapvoting is perfect!

BUT.... the 3votes/player is really too much... Don't know why people gets so many votes...

For example: Like 10-15mins ago there where 14 people online. Maps ends, and voting starts. Falcon millenium gets 6votes and an other map get also 6votes. We play Falcon, but everyone disconnects.......

So really pls delete that 3 votes/ player.... It is really to much. 1 Vote/player is enough and it's the most democracy...

thats was exactly the same situation i want to avoid with the 3 vote system and tbh exactly the same map, falcon has the biggest disconnects so far i've seen

Yes, but if players don't like Falcon, they need to vote for an other map they like. Because some players like Falcon as well.

That just the goal of the mapvoting system: You can play the map you like, just wait for the right moment and the most votes. It's democracy!

So DONT delete Falcon, but DO delete 3votes/player.

Just delate Falcon from list XD we discussed on that map so many times. And nothing has changed, this is masive disconector XD 6 players want Falcon map, 10 players was out from server XXDD
I dont want to say this is good map or bad 1. Reality just show this map making server empty.
