Online internetbanking

Postby blazing » Thu Aug 25, 2011 10:30

hi guys,

for the dutch people out here watch out with internetbanking at the moment.
i have a big problem with it when i log in it starts an automatic transaction to some place in england.
its a big scam and the amount they try to send is €937
the good thing is they cant send it because of they need a 2nd code but if you dont pay attention at that and you see the message that you need to verify youre bill with the s button (on random reader) dont do that.

if you are not sure that you sended something just redo it again but watch out with this.

Why don't you report it to competent authorities?

ING probably. And yes it's a virus.

For Dutchies; http://tweakers.net/nieuws/76242/hacker ... virus.html

@ Blazing
Scan with a proper tool like malwarebytes, preferably in safe mode (+ disconnect your internet connection).

Oh dear, this is awful...
Also I find this pathetic, go make your money on an honest way, really. -.-

I gotta watch out, maybe my bank is also infected but maybe nobody haven't noticed yet. Or my bank could be infected in the future with this virus..

Here you see again, you have to be carefull with this stuff. :(

well its the rabobank
only dutch people know that 1
i immideatly called their service line and they sended me an email
and they also recommended malwarebytes to scan my pc
so i will gona do it right now

i also reported their bankaccount and some other details about the transaction they wanna make (they cant because my ank uses a random reaer where i get a different code everytime i want to login and make a deposit to somewhere.

also its says it tries to send it to an barclay bank though i guess its just a little account they made but would be untracable to an real owner

ill keep in touch to let you know the results.

thanks for the help:)

sorry for this double post but i think its alot clearer when it has 2 posts on this one since its kinda an important topic if you guys ever face the same problems.

I did the scan and it foud a total of 21 infections
i removed them all and now my pc works really good again
i didnt knew it was so infected so i advice you guys to make an check on yours pc to since i dont really visit sites i dont really know.

thanks for all the advices and concerns about this thing

i also dont get why people try to scam people on this way.
the only thing between it was the double check for bookings to other accounts so 1 code to login and 1 other to make the transaction.
and since it was on the real website of rabobank itself (www.rabobank.nl) it really is kinda hard to spot it especially when you make all youre booking online like i do.
if i didnt found it suspicous i probally would just enter the 2nd code to make that transaction but since i never had any contact or whatsoever with a barclay bank (it was in description) and the fact it auto typed (so it didnt popped but it really typed on a fast way) i just thought that it couldnt be right.

kind regards,

blazing

The banks aren't infected, the customers pc's are.
